In his General Armory (London 1878, page 563), Sir Bernard Burke, C.B., LL.D., Ulster King of Arms, describes three coats-of-arms under the names of as many Kidders. The first is shown to have been granted to an
unknown person of that surname during the reign of Henry VII (1485-1509), and is as follows: Vert. three crescents or (which translated means three golden crescents upon a shield of green).
